24 hours
The Corporate Innovation Challenge is an intense 24-hour hackathon where students collaborate to develop innovative solutions for real-world problems presented by participating companies. For this event, we tackled a challenge set forth by Nova.
Nova described their challenge as follows: "Precise measuring and dosing—but at speed! Direct chemical analysis is integral to numerous processes, demanding highly accurate dosing. Central to this is the dosing device assembly, incorporating various pumps that, while less precise, offer faster and more cost-effective volume delivery. The goal of this Corporate Innovation Challenge is to conceptualize a product that includes hardware, control systems (software modules), and testing, optimized for an 8-fluid dosing process with varying volumes."
Over the course of the hackathon, we worked tirelessly to design and build a prototype using the provided hardware and software components. By the end of the challenge, our prototype successfully achieved precise dosing of eight different fluids in varying volumes, addressing Nova's objectives effectively.
