The KatApp is a system designed to help with disaster management. Many of the problems that arise in disasters are logistical in nature, and logistics can be managed very well by software systems.
The KatApp optimizes logistical processes during a disaster. Those processes include tracking of performed triages, management and distribution of patients across registered rescue transports and much more.
I joined the development of the KatApp later in its lifecycle as part of my bachelor thesis. My role focused on continuing the app's development and enhancing its functionality based on evolving needs.
Additionally, I participated in scenarios where the app was tested in simulated real-world disaster situations. This hands-on testing experience allowed me to evaluate the system's performance and identify improvements to ensure its practicality and reliability.
